The programmes reflect the common vision of the ETH Zurich and the University of Bern for concerted climate research and coordinated education. Both institutions have a demonstrated record and long tradition in forefront climate research and are host to a number of outstanding scientists.
Both programmes work with experiments, observations and models, from global to local scales in a truly interdisciplinary approach.
The elective courses are exchangeable between both institutions and students benefit from a large pool of expert teachers and research facilities. You may select a choice of courses specifically tailored to meet your personal interests, skills and needs.
Although concerted, the programmes have different scientific foci according to the expert knowledge of the supervising faculty. These are, however, non-exclusive. It is your choice.
