The emerging challenges imposed by climate and climate change demand for scientists, experts and professionals with a more holistic view about the functioning of the climate system and the drivers for climate change. Climate change impacts on the natural and managed environment, on our life-support systems, economy, and society are of pressing concern.
This challenge calls for an appropriate and novel educational scheme, and a curriculum that is outside the traditional disciplines.
Starting in autumn 2006, the University of Bern and the ETH Zurich offer jointly the following programmes (see also programmes in a nutshell):
The innovative curricula are specifically designed to give you the appropriate scientific knowledge and personal skills to take leadership in science, business and administration.
Students benefit from mobility between both programmes and from the NCCR Climate educational and research environment. The NCCR Climate builds on more than 120 experts in the field of climate and climate impact research, climate economics, risks and societal responses.
The Graduate School brings dedicated individuals together from different parts of the world with different expertise. You are invited to join us for this challenge and to learn with us.
